NARS SHEER GLOW FOUNDATION

I don't even know where to begin with this foundation.
I LOVE IT SOOO MUCH! This is my 3rd bottle of using this foundation.
It has medium to full coverage.
Perfect for someone who wants flawless looking skin.

It's funny how they named it sheer glow while the coverage is actually medium to full.
Anyway, I love how it glides on smoothly on the skin.
And you will have enough time to blend, leaving a perfect looking skin.
This foundation will not oxidise so the shades you first apply will maintain the same throughout the day.

I'm in a shade of "FIJI" which is a bit light for my skin tone but I don't mind it because I can top it off with my darker pressed powder.

The only downside of this foundation is that it does not have any pump so you will have to tilt the bottle the get the foundation out. Which for me it's a bit inconvenient as you tend to spill it everywhere and waste a lot of product.

Nonetheless I will not stop purchasing this foundation and will always be my holy grail foundations.

PRICE: RM175
SIZE: 30ml
AVAILABILITY: NARS oulet in Pavilion, Midvalley

REVIEW: Syahirah's face toner

Happy Saturday to my beloved readers,

My skin has been acting up for the past few months and I've tried many ways to recover the spots on my skin. Having a beautiful skin is every girls dream. I have always been struggling with acne and still am. One day I will have clear skin and the next day I woke up I will have numbers of pimples on my skin. It come to the point where I learnt that I will not be able to have a pitch perfect skin.

My discovery on this product however change the way I look at my skin. Although I still got few pimples here and there, I am happy that I am able to go through a week without having a zit on my face. This product helps me in so many ways. I have used it for more than 3 months that turns to be my best 3 months ever for my skin.

This toner comes in 2 types. One being the pink bottle that supposed to hydrate your skin and the other one comes in a so-called white bottle that supposed to whitened the skin.

The pink ones is the first toner that was introduced to the market. It used to be in different packaging than this one. Photo shown above is their new packaging. Both toner are packaged similarly. It comes in 100 ml which is decent and average like most toner in the market. The packaging was well-designed. It comes in a glass bottle and it feels decently heavy and expensive.

Hydrating toner.

The whitening toner.

This is what you will see when you first open the bottle cap. The top of the toner hole is sealed.

After you have opened the seal, you will be able to see the hole where the toner  flows out.

These toners have different scent. The white one smells stronger than the pink ones. It has baby powder scent which turns me off a little bit despite being an amazing toner. The pink one smells a little bit descent and not as strong as the white ones.  I purchased this toner at the local drugstore such as Guardian, Watsons and sometimes caring. It is available in most drugstore in Malaysia.

Price wise it is absolutely cheap. This retails for approximately RM10++. This is one of the cheapest and most effective toner that is out in the market (at least for me). I will not be surprised if it retails for more than RM50. For the quality and the effectiveness that you will get, this is one the best purchased I have ever made in my entire life.

The way I use this toner is to put it on the cotton pad at first before applying it on to the face. I rub gently onto my face with the cotton pad after I cleanse my face. Most of the time I used 2 cotton pad due to the fact that I have make up on my skin in most days. Although you have just finished cleansing your face, don't be surprise on how much dirt are still left on your skin. This toner will help to deeply penetrate onto the skin and get rid of any makeup residue or any other dirt on the face. I noticed the difference on my skin during my first application. It is more cleaner and my skin looks slightly fairer. My blackhead reduced especially on my nose area and it helps to lightened my post acne scars.

I am very skeptical when I first bought it thinking this must be another product that claims for nothing. Plus, for it's price, I don't think it will do much in the beginning. But I was absolutely wrong. It is true what my mom once told me, price do not define quality.

Price: 5/5
Packaging: 4.5/5
Scent: white-3/5, pink-4/5
Effectiveness: 5/5

REVLON LIP BUTTERS arrive in Malaysia!!

lollipop is my favorite personally. :)

PROS:

  1. The consistency is super smooth and highly moisturize
  2. I will not call it as lip butters as it super pigmented. You get the actual color (ok. i lied. maybe some of them are quite sheer).
  3. The color range is beautiful especially the ones in US. In Malaysia, the color choices are not much as it is only limited to 8 colors. But it is sufficient for me at least. better than nothing rite?
  4.  It accessible. You can get pretty much at all watsons and guardian.
  5. No scent. It depends on individuals preferences. Some might prefer to have sweet candy scent as the name itself is super sweet.
  6. It is super affordable. I'm surprised it retails for just RM25 considering it is one of the most popular lip product Revlon has ever had before.
  7. This comes to my next point. I love the adorable names they had on each lipstick! ^.^

CONS:

  1. I hate the packaging. It feels soo cheap. I know most of all people who have tried the lip butter, love the packaging. But the quality of the packaging is a no-no for me although it will look pretty if it were made by metal instead of plastic.
  2. I'm not a fan of it's glitter. Although it's not much but I prefer if it is just a regular creamy lip butters instead of the glitter.
  3. It doesn't hold on to your lips very long. Just for a good 2 hours max (I'm referring on my personal experience. It varies depending on your activity that day).

PRICE: RM25 (Sometimes you can get it cheaper)
WHERE TO GET IT?: WATSONS, GUARDIAN

p/s: swatches coming up soon. and I might be doing a video review soon. crossing-fingers*

GARNIER LIGHT (brightening eye roll on)

HEY EVERYONE,

Due to tons of assignments and college work, my under eye circles is turning darker than it is. I have no eye bags at all till I turned 18. That's when I first went into college. Early month this year I went to the drugstores to pick up some mosturiser, and I went to Garnier section where there is a display of under eye roll on brightener. It looks interesting so I picked it up considering I had quite dark under eye circles where this roll-on claims to reduce it. I have been using it for almost 6 months I would say. So, here are my thoughts on it.

PRICE: I can't remember exactly the price. I think it somewhere between RM20-RM30. correct me if I'm wrong.
WHERE TO PURCHASE?: Guardian, Watsons, online purchase (http://www.onlineskincareshop.com/shop.php?c=6&n=11061961&i=B002EWGSDK&x=Garnier_Light_Eye_Roll_on_15_ml)

PROS:

  1. It does reduce the appearance of puffiness under my eyes.
  2. The packaging SOLD me.
  3. I felt slight refreshments under my eyes right after I rolled this on. It has cooling effects when u put it on.
  4. It absorbs pretty quick. I would say for a good 2 minutes before you put can your mosturiser.
  5. You'll feel relaxed as you massage the roller under your eyes.
  6. Price wise, it's affordable.
CONS:

  1. Although it claims to reduce the appearance of dark circle under the eyes I did not see any dramatic results considering I have been using it for quite some time which is really disappointing.

Here I attached link on how to apply this roll-on in a correct way.

For Audrey

I can say that China Glaze nail polish has the same quality as OPI nailpolish.

URBAN DECAY : Ammo Palette

URBAN DECAY
Ammo Palette

The packaging

The colors

It comes with a big size mirror and a sponge tip applicator.
Colors that came in this palette.

PRICE: Can't recall. But I think it was about the same price as the other Urban Decay palette which retails around RM145.

When I first bough this I was super super excited to try it. It is said that this palette are the combination of 10 best seller colors! How cool is that! It has a lot of neutral colors which is a plus for me because I love neutral colors. It comes with a sponge tip applicator and it has a magnetic bar which secure and shut the palette. So, you don't have to worry on having the eyeshadow to shatter all over the place. Anyway, moving on to the pro's and con's of this palette.

PRO'S:

  1. As usual, Urban Decays' eyeshadows are well pigmented and vibrant!
  2. These are the 10 bestsellers eyeshadows of Urban Decay. You can't go wrong with it.
  3. The packaging is excellent for travelling as it is easy and light to be carried around.
  4. There's a big size mirror which is easy for you to make touch ups.
CON'S:
  1. I have no other complaints on this palette other than once again, the price is too expensive.

You girls can purchase it here online. This is by far the cheapest price I've seen. http://www.amazon.com/Urban-Decay-Ammo-Eye-Palette/dp/B00133S5KA

You can also purchase this at Sephora besides Starhill, Kuala Lumpur.

Disclaimer: I won't be responsible to any online purchase transactions as I only provide information to help you girls get your hands on this palette.

URBAN DECAY : Sustainable Shadow Box

HEY GIRLS,

Like I promised you guys that I will review some of the products that I bought during my visit to Sephora in Malaysia last weekend. This is the first item that I will review for you guys which you guys can see from the title above, the "sustainable shadow box" from Urban Decay.

PRICE: RM145

PRO'S:

  1. The color is well pigmented
  2. Wearable colors
  3. Comes in 10 colors which is A LOT!
  4. Comes with the infamous primer potion
  5. Cute packaging
  6. Comes with a mirror and mini brush
CONS:
  1. The price is expensive. Should I be stressing this out? Duhhh. It's Urban Decay.
  2. The glitter in midnight cowboy rides again & VZI is too chunky. I guess by putting a base for this glitter shadow to stick on would be better as the glitter will fall all over the face.
Needless to say, I still LOVE this palette. It is super pigmented and the color is just wearable. I wore this  almost everyday to school since the day I grab this palette. I can create tons of looks by just using this palette. For those who just started might want to grab this palette as it comes in a variety set of colors and is good for neutral look (I found out that newbies will likely to start with neutral look).

The mini primer potion that comes together with the palette.

Unwrapped

The packaging of this palette looks like bamboo.

Swatches
Top from the left: Twice Baked, TDK, Flipside, Grifter, VZI
Bottom from the left: Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, Flash, Oil Slick, Kiddie Pool,  &  Half  Baked
This is the colors that comes in with the palette.

QUEEN HELENE MASK JULEP

Hello my beautiful readers,

As you guys know, I don't have pretty smooth perfect skin. I do have a lot of breakouts. Sometimes its too much for me to handle. So, I came across a lot of products and today I'm going to review for you guys an acne mask. I watched you-tube a lot and you guys can say that I know quite a bit of beauty products as I watched a lot of make-up and beauty gurus in you-tube from all over the world. As I was reading and watching reviews on few product I came across Queen Helene Mask Julep which is also one of the hype products in you-tube.

This mask is super cheap. It was around 3 or 4 dollars in US but I bought this from a friend and I have no idea why but it's a bit pricey than if you buy it in the drugstore. You can't find this in Malaysia but you can but it online in e-bay. The smell of this mask is minty. It really reminds me of Colgate toothpaste. I know it sounds gross for some people but I personally love the smell. The texture is pasty and it's almost like toothpaste texture but a little bit thicker. The paste was green in color and it has quite a product. As it claims, it does really dries out pimples and acne. My brother was so in love with it that he actually pay me to use it. It really dries out the pimples overnight but it didn't work on pimples underneath the skin. It only works on pimples that is already on the surface. As for blackheads, I don't think it work for blackheads but it does shrink the large pores. I mean, at least it does help to shrink it  a little bit. You can feel that as you apply the mask your face feels tighter and tighter.Apply this mask for a good 20 mins and rinse it with cold water. Anyway, overall I really recommend this product for those who have pimples and enlarged pores.

Me & my best friend Reina try the mask out for the first time.

URBAN DECAY palette

Hey Everyone,

I know it's been a while since I last updated my blog. I know I've been slacking of posts these few months. But bare with me guys. Anyway, today i will be reviewing you guys the Urban Decay palette. I'm not really sure which collection this (I know I'm way behind of Urban Decay palette. Don't blame me for not having Urban Decay in Malaysia) was but this palette is AMAZING!. I bought this in Singapore last month. The first time i swatched the colors in Sephora, I know that I should buy it. I was looking for Naked palette that is a big hype in you-tube, but as I expected, it was sold out. the lady that is working in the Sephora told me that I have to wait till next year and I was like whattttt? Anyway back to the palette, it was a little bit pricey but it's worth for it. It is said that the colors in the palette was the collection of their best selling eye-shadows.

There's ten eye-shadows in this palette and bare in mind guys, it's a shimmer palette so there will be tons of glitters in the eyeshadow. The colors are mostly neutral so it's good for everyday look for those who like gold and bronze color. It comes with an eyeshadow brush which I did not recommend to use it as an applicator but it's fine to be use as  a smudger for eyeliner on the lower lash line. The pallette comes with a mirror. The packaging of this pallette is adorable. I love how the packaging looks like. But if there's pro there will also be cons, one thing that turns me off of this pallette is glitter in the eyeshadow. It is a little bit chuncky and when you apply the eyeshadow on your lid, do expect A LOT of fall outs. And when I say A LOT you will get tons of glitters on your face. So, take my advice, put your foundation after your done with your eye make up or put some loose powder under your eyes to catch fall outs. But overall I give this pallete a thumbs up regardless of the fall out, this pallette is still amazing.

DOVE

HELLO EVERYONE,

This is how it looks like with the packaging it comes with.

So, for those who know me, obviously they know I love to permanent dyed and style my hair. I color and dyed my hair at least 2 or 3 times per year. sometimes even more.  I know it's bad but I get bored with my hairstyle quite often. I had a lot of hair fall going on, super dry-ness and split ends. I once had a very-very thick black hair where I hate it when I was a kid. So, I chopped off my hair and layered it to make it thinner. I felt stupid as I grew older. How I wish I still had a long and thick black hair. I really struggled a lot with my hair. Tried out few hair products but my hair is as hard as rock. It's soo hard to deal with. I went to Guardian the other day with my sister. I was wondering around looking for body wash, but instead I end up at the hair section. This is when I saw this little angel starring at me whispering "buy me".
I directly purchase it and brought it back home with no idea why do I purchased it in the first place. I then tried it out for couple of weeks and this product was treating my hair quite fairly although it doesn't make a BIG difference to my hair, but hey! at least it does something.

The PRO'S of this product:
It's a size of a palm.
  •  It has a really pleasent smell. Not too strong and not to soft.
  • I love on how it comes with a pump and a transparent cover.
  • It does make my hair feel a little bit softer and not as dry as if I didn't put it on.
  • I love the texture. It's not too thick and it's not too liquidity. You know what I mean right? Serum always come in a form of runny liquid which I hate soo much.
  • I love the packaging. It's super cute and it's a travel size pack which makes it easier to bring it into my purse.
The CON'S of this product:

  • I'm not sure whether it's just me, but I don't really think serum stop hair falls. I think this serum would be better if they labelled it as damage reconstruction serum instead of "hair fall rescue".
  • This cons is not much of a big deal. But just listing it down just so you guys can see. Though I love it's translucent cover on top, but I hate that the fact it was made out of plastic. And it's not just because it is made out of plastic, but the fact that it feels like it was made out from cheap plastic. When you put it in the bag, you can see scratches all over the cover. But as I said, it's not a big deal.

I really wish they could change the name for this product. Damage serum instead of hair fall serum.

Price: RM 19. 90
you can get it from any drugstore near you.
I'm sure it is sell in Guardian, Watson, & Caring.

DIOR Travel Studio (Voyage Collection)

Hey Beautiful People,

It's like 3.47 am in the morning when I'm writing this post.  I couldn't find a way to sleep back since I slept from 7pm to 12.40pm just now. Anyway, today's post is going to be me raving about make-up product. My friends know me well for being a make-up freak. I LOOOVVEEE make-up and I know quite a lot about make-up (I watched a lot of youtube just in case you guys are wondering where do I learn about make-up, I've post my favorite youtube guru in my previous post. check out my August post). As you guys know (obviously from the title), I'm going to do a personal review on "Dior Travel Studio" make-up pallet.

My pallet is the 0Q01 version

I got this from my best friend, Honey and Hendri for my birthday this year. So I've been using this pallet for almost 3 months. And I'm in loooovvveee with this product.

These are the products included in this pallet:

This is how it looks like in the inside. How complete was that!

The brushes and liners
  • Eyeshadow
  • Brushes (mini size of blending brush (2), blush brush (5), & eyeshadow sponge applicator (1) )
  • Liners (black pencil liner (4) & lip liner (3) )
  • Lipsticks
  • Finish Powder
  • Mini size of mascara

The lipsticks swatches under the light.

Eyeshadow swatches under the light as well. ( 4 shimmery colors with 2 matte colors)

This make-up pallet are available in Dior stores (but I'm not sure they are still available or not, but you could purchase this product online here.

The pro's of this make-up pallet are:
  • Complete set and it is suitable for beginners.
  • Neutral colors. Shimmery and Matte. Suitable for everyday look
  • The colors are pigmented.
  • The obvious reason why I love Dior  is because of their product scent. Super duper awesome.
  • The pallet have the complete set of everything. It is good for traveling (duhhhh!).
  • Portable
  • The case is elegant
The packaging and the case
Of course in a every product there must be something which is not preferable for their customers rite? But I couldn't find much of the contrast of this product as I am lovin' it!! But anyhow, these are my personal view on the cons of this pallet.

The con's of this make-up pallet are:
    • Even though it is portable but it's quite weighty for make-up pallet. I am not saying it's heavy, it's just a little bit weighty to be carried in your purse everyday.
    • The lipsticks. I'm not a fan of this pallet's lipstick. It is not as pigmented as I want it to be & so as the color of the lipsticks. I guess it doesn't suit my skin tone. Some of you guys might find it pigmented and like the color as well (As I said, my personal view).
Regardless to the cons of this pallet, I love this pallet soo much. It really made my life easier. Thanks Honey & Hendri. <3 u guyysss.

I'll post looks that you can make by using this pallet on my upcoming post. Stay tune peeps. :))
    much love,
    Nurul.

    Review: Eucerin Hydro Balance

    Hey Everyone,

Today I will be posting out a review for skin moisturizer from Eucerin. I have been trying this product for about 2 months. All I can say is this is good for all skin types. If you have dry skin, this will be perfect for you. I have once read in a beauty magazine saying that if you have dry skin and you want to find a good moisturizer you have to look at the texture, check this tips below.

     Tips for dry skin :
1 - Put your mosturizers onto your finger.
2 - Turn your finger facing down
3- Observe the moisturizer, if it drop the second you face your finger down, then it's not moisturize enough for dry skin.

The packaging is awesome. It is even better than my moisturizers packaging from skin renew. The texture is light but it is heavy enough for normal skin. It goes well onto your skins. You will feel a little bit oily when you first apply it, but after awhile your skin won't feel as oily as it first applied. It is not greasy and sticky. So, thumbs up for that.

This is how the texture looks like.

Although it didn't help my skin with reducing my bad acne (I heard that one of the way to get rid of pimple is to use moisturizers so that your skin won't produce more oil than you needed), but it does work on moisturizing my skin. It is a little bit pricey but it is worth of try. It retails around Rm52-55. I'm not really sure. I forgot to keep the resit. :P

    Rate: 3.5/5

You guys can also bought this at Guardian or Watson under Eucerin label. They don't sell this product anymore through online. So, sorry girls, I can't provide you with the website.

Disclaimer: I bought this product myself and this is an honest review. But bare in mind, It may work for me but there's possibilities it won't work for you guys.

Anyway guys, happy try and I'll see you soon on my next blog.
    Buhbye. :))

Review: Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Treatment Cream

    Hey Everyone,

Here goes another review from me. From the previous blog, i did said that I have acne-prone skin. My skin is sensitive and I can only use certain products. When I was having a really bad skin few weeks back, I just couldn't wait anymore for my facial appointment so I went out to the nearest drugstore (which sadly didn't gave me much of an option) and try to find any products that can wash out my darn pimples.! dang! But the drugstore i went doesn't provide me a lot of choices of acne treatment (what a drugstore). Cehh! So, I have no choice than just picked out any products that i could find (too malas to drive another mile for another drugstore). In the end, all I can find is Za treatment product and Clearasil (the rest just doesn't convince me enough plus, I'm running out of budget since I spent like crazy this few weeks, so I had to spend wisely and find cheaper alternative, which in the end I'm glad that I don't spend that much for a good awesome product). I bought the Za few months back and realize it doesn't really work for me ( but it does work for my brother and sisters). Of course, I end up buying the Clearasil acne treatment.

This product claimed to reduce the pimple size and the redness in just 4 hours. I didn't believe it at first thinking "naaahhh, I'm sure this is one of their advertising plan, i should just try it out and don't put your hopes to high". But then, it turns out that I'm totally wrong. It does work for my skin. And amazingly it did reduce my pimples in 4 hours. Amazing right? For something that cheap, it's really an awesome grab (sorry I said awesome too much. just couldn't help it.). It retails for below or around $10 if I'm not mistaken (just too forgetful to even remember how much is it, but all I now this product is cheap).

You just need a little amount of product and apply it on your clean skin. Just apply thin layer and your done.! It is advisable to follow the 3 steps skin care routine (cleanser, toner, moisturizer) before you apply it (hey, we can't just depend on the treatment itself only right?) for maximum result. It is dermatologically tested. So, it is safe to use. Use it 2 times per day and you should see the result as soon as you apply it for 4 hours. Good luck guys and have a great day.! sayonaraaaa~

This is how the packaging look from country where I came from. Other countries packaging may varies. I guess you can just tell by looking at the big 4 on the tube. :D

Sorry for the keyboard background. haha. feeling super lazy today to find other places to take photo of this product-_-
DISCLAIMER: everyone have different skin, this might work for me but of course it won't work for everyone right? Anyway, it does worth a try.
You guys can buy this online through their official website: Clearasil Acne Treatment Cream link
GOOD LUCK GUYS AND HAVE AN AWESOME DAY! BYE2. :D
