QUEEN HELENE MASK JULEP

Hello my beautiful readers,

As you guys know, I don't have pretty smooth perfect skin. I do have a lot of breakouts. Sometimes its too much for me to handle. So, I came across a lot of products and today I'm going to review for you guys an acne mask. I watched you-tube a lot and you guys can say that I know quite a bit of beauty products as I watched a lot of make-up and beauty gurus in you-tube from all over the world. As I was reading and watching reviews on few product I came across Queen Helene Mask Julep which is also one of the hype products in you-tube.

This mask is super cheap. It was around 3 or 4 dollars in US but I bought this from a friend and I have no idea why but it's a bit pricey than if you buy it in the drugstore. You can't find this in Malaysia but you can but it online in e-bay. The smell of this mask is minty. It really reminds me of Colgate toothpaste. I know it sounds gross for some people but I personally love the smell. The texture is pasty and it's almost like toothpaste texture but a little bit thicker. The paste was green in color and it has quite a product. As it claims, it does really dries out pimples and acne. My brother was so in love with it that he actually pay me to use it. It really dries out the pimples overnight but it didn't work on pimples underneath the skin. It only works on pimples that is already on the surface. As for blackheads, I don't think it work for blackheads but it does shrink the large pores. I mean, at least it does help to shrink it  a little bit. You can feel that as you apply the mask your face feels tighter and tighter.Apply this mask for a good 20 mins and rinse it with cold water. Anyway, overall I really recommend this product for those who have pimples and enlarged pores.

Me & my best friend Reina try the mask out for the first time.

URBAN DECAY palette

Hey Everyone,

I know it's been a while since I last updated my blog. I know I've been slacking of posts these few months. But bare with me guys. Anyway, today i will be reviewing you guys the Urban Decay palette. I'm not really sure which collection this (I know I'm way behind of Urban Decay palette. Don't blame me for not having Urban Decay in Malaysia) was but this palette is AMAZING!. I bought this in Singapore last month. The first time i swatched the colors in Sephora, I know that I should buy it. I was looking for Naked palette that is a big hype in you-tube, but as I expected, it was sold out. the lady that is working in the Sephora told me that I have to wait till next year and I was like whattttt? Anyway back to the palette, it was a little bit pricey but it's worth for it. It is said that the colors in the palette was the collection of their best selling eye-shadows.

There's ten eye-shadows in this palette and bare in mind guys, it's a shimmer palette so there will be tons of glitters in the eyeshadow. The colors are mostly neutral so it's good for everyday look for those who like gold and bronze color. It comes with an eyeshadow brush which I did not recommend to use it as an applicator but it's fine to be use as  a smudger for eyeliner on the lower lash line. The pallette comes with a mirror. The packaging of this pallette is adorable. I love how the packaging looks like. But if there's pro there will also be cons, one thing that turns me off of this pallette is glitter in the eyeshadow. It is a little bit chuncky and when you apply the eyeshadow on your lid, do expect A LOT of fall outs. And when I say A LOT you will get tons of glitters on your face. So, take my advice, put your foundation after your done with your eye make up or put some loose powder under your eyes to catch fall outs. But overall I give this pallete a thumbs up regardless of the fall out, this pallette is still amazing.

DOVE

HELLO EVERYONE,

This is how it looks like with the packaging it comes with.

So, for those who know me, obviously they know I love to permanent dyed and style my hair. I color and dyed my hair at least 2 or 3 times per year. sometimes even more.  I know it's bad but I get bored with my hairstyle quite often. I had a lot of hair fall going on, super dry-ness and split ends. I once had a very-very thick black hair where I hate it when I was a kid. So, I chopped off my hair and layered it to make it thinner. I felt stupid as I grew older. How I wish I still had a long and thick black hair. I really struggled a lot with my hair. Tried out few hair products but my hair is as hard as rock. It's soo hard to deal with. I went to Guardian the other day with my sister. I was wondering around looking for body wash, but instead I end up at the hair section. This is when I saw this little angel starring at me whispering "buy me".
I directly purchase it and brought it back home with no idea why do I purchased it in the first place. I then tried it out for couple of weeks and this product was treating my hair quite fairly although it doesn't make a BIG difference to my hair, but hey! at least it does something.

The PRO'S of this product:
It's a size of a palm.
  •  It has a really pleasent smell. Not too strong and not to soft.
  • I love on how it comes with a pump and a transparent cover.
  • It does make my hair feel a little bit softer and not as dry as if I didn't put it on.
  • I love the texture. It's not too thick and it's not too liquidity. You know what I mean right? Serum always come in a form of runny liquid which I hate soo much.
  • I love the packaging. It's super cute and it's a travel size pack which makes it easier to bring it into my purse.
The CON'S of this product:

  • I'm not sure whether it's just me, but I don't really think serum stop hair falls. I think this serum would be better if they labelled it as damage reconstruction serum instead of "hair fall rescue".
  • This cons is not much of a big deal. But just listing it down just so you guys can see. Though I love it's translucent cover on top, but I hate that the fact it was made out of plastic. And it's not just because it is made out of plastic, but the fact that it feels like it was made out from cheap plastic. When you put it in the bag, you can see scratches all over the cover. But as I said, it's not a big deal.

I really wish they could change the name for this product. Damage serum instead of hair fall serum.

Price: RM 19. 90
you can get it from any drugstore near you.
I'm sure it is sell in Guardian, Watson, & Caring.

Hachi: A Dog's Tale - Official Movie Trailer

Holla beautiful blog readers,

HACHIKO remake 2009

Before I went to sleep I just remembered I need to do a review on "Hachiko's" movie. I was super excited to blog you guys about this movie till I couldn't figure which to begin with. OK, this movie was originally based on true story from Japan where there were this one dog, Hachiko (I'm not good with dogs breed) who was not supposed to be with his owner ( Richard Gere ) but he chooses him which made them went through a lot. They eventually became good friends and I can't describe on how much this dog loves and adores his owner. This movie really touches you heart and definitely would involved tears. It was such a beautiful story on how a dog can be loyal to its owner and waited for its owner in railway station everyday for 9 years. 9 years guys? can u imagine? I bet human like us won't be that loyal to wait for someone you love for 9 freaking years.
Hachiko

This was the "real" Hachiko before he died.

The most loyal dog in the world.

This story happens in 1920's to 1930's. You could read more about their original story here. You guys can watch the trailer down bellow.

DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE A MOVIE YOU WANT TO MISSED OUT.!

Hachiko - upcoming review

Hello People,

It's like 3 o'clock in the morning now and I just finished watching a movie called "Hachiko". Actually this is the reason why I couldn't sleep. I cried the through the entire movie. It was such a beautiful movie. You can't imagine how a story of one dog could make you cry out for almost one hour. How suffering was that.? But you know, I don't have regrets since this movie is a 5 star movie. I swore by my grandma's name, this movie was excellent. I will post the review on my next post since I am a little bit tired of crying for almost one hour. So, look out for the review on it.

I was damn sleepy rite now.
Off to bed. :))

DIOR Travel Studio (Voyage Collection)

Hey Beautiful People,

It's like 3.47 am in the morning when I'm writing this post.  I couldn't find a way to sleep back since I slept from 7pm to 12.40pm just now. Anyway, today's post is going to be me raving about make-up product. My friends know me well for being a make-up freak. I LOOOVVEEE make-up and I know quite a lot about make-up (I watched a lot of youtube just in case you guys are wondering where do I learn about make-up, I've post my favorite youtube guru in my previous post. check out my August post). As you guys know (obviously from the title), I'm going to do a personal review on "Dior Travel Studio" make-up pallet.

My pallet is the 0Q01 version

I got this from my best friend, Honey and Hendri for my birthday this year. So I've been using this pallet for almost 3 months. And I'm in loooovvveee with this product.

These are the products included in this pallet:

This is how it looks like in the inside. How complete was that!

The brushes and liners
  • Eyeshadow
  • Brushes (mini size of blending brush (2), blush brush (5), & eyeshadow sponge applicator (1) )
  • Liners (black pencil liner (4) & lip liner (3) )
  • Lipsticks
  • Finish Powder
  • Mini size of mascara

The lipsticks swatches under the light.

Eyeshadow swatches under the light as well. ( 4 shimmery colors with 2 matte colors)

This make-up pallet are available in Dior stores (but I'm not sure they are still available or not, but you could purchase this product online here.

The pro's of this make-up pallet are:
  • Complete set and it is suitable for beginners.
  • Neutral colors. Shimmery and Matte. Suitable for everyday look
  • The colors are pigmented.
  • The obvious reason why I love Dior  is because of their product scent. Super duper awesome.
  • The pallet have the complete set of everything. It is good for traveling (duhhhh!).
  • Portable
  • The case is elegant
The packaging and the case
Of course in a every product there must be something which is not preferable for their customers rite? But I couldn't find much of the contrast of this product as I am lovin' it!! But anyhow, these are my personal view on the cons of this pallet.

The con's of this make-up pallet are:
    • Even though it is portable but it's quite weighty for make-up pallet. I am not saying it's heavy, it's just a little bit weighty to be carried in your purse everyday.
    • The lipsticks. I'm not a fan of this pallet's lipstick. It is not as pigmented as I want it to be & so as the color of the lipsticks. I guess it doesn't suit my skin tone. Some of you guys might find it pigmented and like the color as well (As I said, my personal view).
Regardless to the cons of this pallet, I love this pallet soo much. It really made my life easier. Thanks Honey & Hendri. <3 u guyysss.

I'll post looks that you can make by using this pallet on my upcoming post. Stay tune peeps. :))
    much love,
    Nurul.

    Review: Eucerin Hydro Balance

    Hey Everyone,

Today I will be posting out a review for skin moisturizer from Eucerin. I have been trying this product for about 2 months. All I can say is this is good for all skin types. If you have dry skin, this will be perfect for you. I have once read in a beauty magazine saying that if you have dry skin and you want to find a good moisturizer you have to look at the texture, check this tips below.

     Tips for dry skin :
1 - Put your mosturizers onto your finger.
2 - Turn your finger facing down
3- Observe the moisturizer, if it drop the second you face your finger down, then it's not moisturize enough for dry skin.

The packaging is awesome. It is even better than my moisturizers packaging from skin renew. The texture is light but it is heavy enough for normal skin. It goes well onto your skins. You will feel a little bit oily when you first apply it, but after awhile your skin won't feel as oily as it first applied. It is not greasy and sticky. So, thumbs up for that.

This is how the texture looks like.

Although it didn't help my skin with reducing my bad acne (I heard that one of the way to get rid of pimple is to use moisturizers so that your skin won't produce more oil than you needed), but it does work on moisturizing my skin. It is a little bit pricey but it is worth of try. It retails around Rm52-55. I'm not really sure. I forgot to keep the resit. :P

    Rate: 3.5/5

You guys can also bought this at Guardian or Watson under Eucerin label. They don't sell this product anymore through online. So, sorry girls, I can't provide you with the website.

Disclaimer: I bought this product myself and this is an honest review. But bare in mind, It may work for me but there's possibilities it won't work for you guys.

Anyway guys, happy try and I'll see you soon on my next blog.
    Buhbye. :))

Penang Vacation! 2nd day of raya onwards!

    Hey everyone,

At the Tropical Spice Garden with my awesome family!. :DD

Celebrating raya/eid is actually something that I'm not looking forward for. The reason being is I don't have grandparents anymore that lives in my once village, Melacca. While everyone is enjoying their ketupat & rendang, playing fireworks, and getting green ang-pao from their relatives, I didn't do anything on the list other than eating ketupat & rendang. So, due to that reason, I kinda hate when raya comes. I can't be blame rite for disliking raya? Well, because of that, me & my family will go for holidays since we don't have village to go. And this year, me and my family went to Batu Feringghi, Penang. For those who are international, Penang is one of the island in Malaysia. Only one word could describe Penang, AWESOME-NESS. I've been travelling the almost whole Malaysia for this past years. I've been to Langkawi, Perak, Pahang, Terengganu, & much more. But nothing beats Penang. The food there, two thumbs up! Chicks and hunk, thumbs up! :D

Can u see how bad the jam was?

Before I reached the hotel where I am going to stay, I have to pass Penang bridge, there was a horrible jam there. I stucked there for few hours. Urghh!! just when I need peaceful time for myself. It turns out, there's smoke going out from the holes of the bridge. I have no idea what's happening but I assume there was an accident on the other side of the road.
I went to few restaurant there. From high-end restaurant to stalls on the roads. I must say, Penang really does have great food to eat. For those who are looking after for some good & delicious food, just head to Penang. I assure you, most of the restaurant you went, won't disappoint you. I went to few restaurants which I will then review.
Oh! the most exciting part was when I went to Jet-ski for the first time in my life after 20 years. How pathetic was that! hahaha. It was Rm 80 per ride for two/one people. The 1st time I sat on the Jet-ski, I thought I was crazy. Thinking that it will be ok to ride a vehicle in a middle of the sea. HAHA. but seriously guys, no worries. It is safe and you will go back with great experience. My sister was crazy enough to went for this parachute thing ( I can't recall the actual name for it), I laugh my lungs out when I heard her screaming when she first went up in the air. :DD
I went to Tropical Spice Garden where there's millions of spices species. It was such a gorgeous place to go. The landscape is very natural and beautiful. On the day I went there, some guys are preparing for wedding ceremony. How lovely was that. :P Anyway, enough with the long stories and just proceed to the pictures taken.

Bayview Hotel. This is where we stayed. For those who are interested on having trip to penang, u can visit their website : bayview hotel

This is where we 1st went in the Tropical Spice Garden. You guys can visit them at TROPICAL SPICE GARDEN OFFICIAL WEBSITE spot fadya! ew~~ posers!
